Agreement to Terms

Welcome to ProvenanceAI. By accessing or using the ProvenanceAI platform at provenanceai.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use ProvenanceAI.

1. Definitions

  • Platform: The ProvenanceAI web application, browser extension, and related services.
  • Institution: The educational institution (college, university, school) that has licensed ProvenanceAI.
  • Content: Any text, images, or materials submitted to the platform.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use ProvenanceAI to submit academic work, track your learning process, and receive feedback. However, you are strictly prohibited from:

  • Violating your institution's academic integrity policies.
  • Misrepresenting AI-generated content as entirely your own.
  • Attempting to hack, reverse engineer, or scrape the platform.
  • Uploading illegal, harassing, or infringing content.

3. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of all Content you submit. By submitting, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and analyze it using AI to provide the service.

Our Property: The platform software, algorithms, UI design, and ProvenanceAI™ trademark are owned by Exact Rush Multimedia Publishing.

4. AI-Generated Content & Disclaimers

ProvenanceAI uses Large Language Models to calculate metrics like Human Distance and Well-Being. AI systems are not perfect. These metrics are educational tools, not absolute truth. Instructors retain final authority over grading.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProvenanceAI is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, academic integrity violations by students, or grading decisions by instructors.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activity, or pose a security risk. Upon termination, your institution may export data within 30 days before it is deleted or de-identified.
