Our Leadership

We're building ProvenanceAI with transparency and intellectual rigor. Our team combines deep educational expertise with entrepreneurial execution—and we're being honest about what we need to succeed.

Founding Team

Christopher Driscoll, Ph.D. - Founder & CEO, ProvenanceAI

Christopher Driscoll, Ph.D.

Founder & CEO, ProvenanceAI

Owner/Managing Editor, Exact Rush Multimedia Publishing
Associate Professor of Religion, Culture & Society, Lehigh University

Dr. Driscoll is a tenured Associate Professor of Religion Studies at Lehigh University and the founder of Exact Rush Multimedia Publishing, where rigorous scholarship meets real-world execution. He translates complex ideas about belief, identity, and culture into practical systems and durable assets—web, publishing, branding, and audience growth—built on process, transparency, and results. He leads with a steady blend of mindfulness and curiosity, and lives in Idaho with his wife and their two daughters.

Academic:

  • Learning design + assessment discipline: Tenured professor who has repeatedly turned complex theory into structured, outcomes-driven learning experiences—exactly the mindset required to build productized pedagogy, rubrics, and credible evaluation systems.
  • Human behavior + motivation expertise: Deep scholarly grounding in belief, identity, race, and meaning-making—core variables in engagement, persistence, trust, and behavior change in any learning platform.
  • Communication at scale across audiences: Proven ability to explain hard ideas to mixed audiences (students, scholars, public communities, corporate contexts), which maps to product storytelling, stakeholder alignment, and adoption work across institutions.

Entrepreneurial/Industry Experience:

  • Founder/operator of Exact Rush: Built and runs a multimedia publishing and digital services business delivering websites, publishing, editorial, branding/SEO, and audience growth—end-to-end client delivery, process, and quality control.
  • Digital distribution + audience growth track record: Built a YouTube presence to ~10,000 subscribers and ~1M views through consistent production and retention strategy—evidence of market-facing execution, iteration, and growth mechanics.
  • Industry AI role (ethnographic/rater work): Worked as a subcontractor training LLMs as a "Super Rater," applying structured evaluation, qualitative judgment, and precision under real production constraints—direct exposure to the operational realities behind commercial AI systems.

Why ProvenanceAI:

I am building ProvenanceAI out of necessity. Knowledge has become decoupled from learning at a time when we need to learn fast, effectively, and with a sense of urgency like few moments in our history. I love philosophy and all the technical knowledge I've gained as a researcher for the last 20 years. But none of that matters as much as my responsibility as an educator to equip my students with the tools to succeed in the world that is to come. "Provenance" because we're charting the path to get them there and "AI" is the vehicle.

Building Our Team: The Honest Roadmap

We're starting a founding round to make tactical hires.

ProvenanceAI is already being built by a literal team of AI agents—what even two years ago would have cost $50k+ to build out, we've accomplished with AI orchestration managed by Christopher. But to scale, we need human expertise in key areas.

Immediate Hires (Pre-Seed Funding)

1. Fractional CFO (First Priority)

  • Experience in EdTech space required
  • Build formal roadmap as we grow offerings
  • Manage revenue streams from institutional partnerships
  • Oversee licensing agreements (LMS integration, ScholarFlow, Critias)
  • Navigate pre-seed → Series A funding pathway

2. Full-Stack Development Engineer

  • Scale platform for institutional deployment
  • Integrate with major LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle)
  • Build API infrastructure for partner integrations
  • Ensure FERPA compliance and data security

3. Sales & Marketing Executive

  • Drive institutional partnerships (CTLs, Provosts, Faculty Champions)
  • Manage pilot-to-paid conversion pipeline
  • Build brand awareness in higher ed space
  • Execute conference strategy (EDUCAUSE, OLC, AAC&U)

Strategic Investment

Agentic AI Orchestration Specialist ($50k-$75k contract)

ProvenanceAI is already being built by AI engineers. We'll invest in a specialist to optimize our AI development workflow, accelerating product iteration and reducing long-term technical debt.

Academic Advisory Board

Alongside discovery calls and client surveys, Christopher is building an Academic Advisory Board that will meet quarterly to ensure ProvenanceAI continues to point up.

Board composition:

  • University deans and provosts
  • CTL directors and instructional designers
  • Thought leaders in AI policy and pedagogy
  • Faculty champions integrating AI now

Mission:

Shape the future of human-centered AI policy and practice in higher education.

First convening:

Q4 2026 or Q1 2027 (aligned with fundraising round—the fundraising effort will serve as the initial convening)

Our Commitment to Transparency

We believe ProvenanceAI moves fastest through real conversations with real educators and builders.

We're building in public. We're learning as we go. We're honest about what we know and what we're still figuring out.

That's the ProvenanceAI way: Rigor, with receipts.
