14 modules · 2 parts · Nietzsche through Howard Thurman · Lehigh University Summer 2026
This seminar traces the philosophical death of God — from Nietzsche's marketplace madman to the Black liberation theologians, womanist thinkers, and Indigenous voices who insisted the question looked different from the margins. It ends with Howard Thurman, who asked whether the death of a certain God might be the birth of something better.
Designed for Lehigh University students. Also open to independent learners via access code. Each module includes lecture audio, key concepts, discussion labs, and — where required — a quiz, exam, or written assignment.
